This is basically an Indian hotel, so if you are a foreigner visiting Trichy, which few do, and if you are, and prefer the local scene rather than the high-end, you will know what to expect, and to be honest, the rooms are not too bad. They are clean and bathrooms adequate. That picture in the front for this hotel is nothing like what I saw, but all the other room pictures are representative. Don't expect too much from the staff, but they service the basic requirements, so we had no complaints. The in-house restaurant has changed. It used to be in the main building, and served up a good variety of meals. Now it is adjacent, and the quality of meals has reduced. Never mind, just across the road is a very fine restaurant (Kerala Mess), though it doesn't open until 10am - if you are wanting an omelet, you'll have to wait. For breakfast, I can recommend the local's joint just next to GVN hospital - great chai, coffee and vadi. The main point one should know before booking this place (aside from the difficulty of booking online from outside India - use Make My Trip), is that it is situated in the middle of a bazaar - esp crap-clothing bazaar. Meaning that the crowds intensify in the afternoon and evening. So long as you are comfortable navigating through Indian crowds, then it's a lot of fun - otherwise it can be a nightmare. We last came here ten years ago, and the traffic has increased ten-fold since then. It has frankly, reached it's limits. Not sure what these market areas in India are going to do as the traffic and people ramp up in future.

Hotel is located in a very strategic location to accommodate for shopping. Staff were very friendly. We were sick when we arrived. One of the staff (an old uncle) took us to the hospital beside the hospital and assisted us in speeding up the process for treatment and getting the medicine and helped us with getting food to aid our illness. We were definitely grateful for his help! Rooms were neat and clean. Toilet wasn't very satisfactory as there was a pipe leak. Food was average in the hotel restaurant. Overall it was a good and recommended stay.

I arrived with my family of 4 comprising children and a baby. Booked 4 rooms and paid fully. At the arriving scene, there were no rooms available and we were told rudely to shift to a different hotel, a few KM away. I have travelled to many countries and this is the first hotel that receives payment and does not bother to prepare the rooms for the paid customer. I am not sure how the Indian government is still allowing this kind of hotel to operate. Rejected their recommended hotel, and I have booked rooms at the different hotel at 10 pm at night with children and a baby. Imagine arriving tired, and argued with the receptionist and in some instance claims he is the owner and cannot do anything. Please Trichy government, halt them from doing business.

The hotel is located in downtown Trichy. All facilities are at a stone's throw. There is a hustle and bustle all day and it is an area dotted with lots of shops for all kinds of things, particularly for Indian costumes and garments, shoes, bags, shirts, jeans, ladies accessories. The attached restaurant is soso. The breakfast given with the room is a set and can be improved. The non air conditioned room is lousy and we moved to an air conditioned one. Rooms are small but fair. A decent deal on the whole

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on 15.9.16 to 17.9.16 with my friend. I choose this hotel for the first time as my friends stayed here. The room where clean and spacious. It is very near to shoppings and bazaar area. All walking distance. But it will be noisy . Very very near to Rockfort temple. Wifi can get at lobby only. If more people using then wifi will slow down. Must upgrade wifi usage to rooms. Breakfast is included in booking. Only vegetarian meals only available in hotel restaurant. The hotel rate is reasonable. Only the lobby too small and less sitting place and less cleaness. Always need to ask the nextday like soap, water ....
